What is a Dollfie:

Dollfie is a 12 inch vinyl doll that is manufactured by the company named Volks. It is an ananomically correct, poseable. Many of the models of the Dollfie are based on anime fashion and action characters now.

True Dollfie's (not Super Dollfie) are about the size of a Barbie Doll, although they do vary in size slightly among the models.

These dolls were first created in 1997 with name "Dollfie," and should only be used for Volks's line of 1/6 dolls. They get confused with the larger doll called "Super Dollfie" which is about 2 feet in length, and other larger Asian ball jointed dolls (BJD) made by other companies than Volks.

Most Dollfie dolls come customizable with no paint on their heads so their owner or an artist can "face-up" or "make-up" them. The finished dolls are then customized further for collecting or even photography shoots.
